Speaking

by | Sep 18, 2007 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Inviting me to speak is a way to get authentic conversation rolling. I’ve spoken on a variety of topics to many different audiences at universities and workplaces. I speak about writing, what our to-do lists reveal about us, social media, dating and sex, the growing acceptance of single life, long-term and adventure travel, and living an authentic life. I’ve spoken at the Commonwealth Club, Grace Cathedral, Boston College, Google, Adaptive Path, the Omega Institute, Hollyhock, the Conference of World Affairs at Colorado University, Boulder, Sonoma State University, University of San Francisco, the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing, and a host of others.

If you are interested in having me speak at your event, please email me to discuss availability and rates.

Here’s one sample talk. Drawing on unique research into the habits of listmakers, I gave a presentation on the stories behind our lists at Google as part of the authors@google series. You can watch it here.
