Quirkyalone: A Manifesto for Uncompromising Romantics

Quirkyalone: “A person who enjoys being single (but is not opposed to being in a relationship) and generally prefers to be alone rather than date for the sake of being in a couple.”

My first book Quirkyalone: A Manifesto for Uncompromising Romantics was ripped from my heart, and turned into an underground sensation that built a cult following.

“Of all of the books that I’ve read, Quirkyalone has definitely been one of the most important books for affirming my journey and cultivating self-acceptance. I’ve picked it up at many different moments in my life and it always brings so much wisdom and joy. So thank you for all that you’ve created, because it’s truly a gift!”–Caroline Leamon, Montreal

“Cagen’s up to something that could be as important for women (and men) as The Feminine Mystique was years ago…”
— Barbara Ehrenreich, author of Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America

Cagen is not against setups or dating…She is emphatically not against sex. Rather, she is ‘anti dull relationship.’”

Work in Progress

Sasha is currently at work on a memoir called Wet, which tells the story of how she healed deep-seated shame, a result of childhood trauma, and worked through unhealthy patterns of not speaking up or feeling worthy, through connecting with her body and her sensuality in South America.

Wet is a story of healing through listening to the body.
